I'd have been unnecessarily excited to heap up my desserts with mountain-size topping mounds. Fingers crossed the coconut isn't so guff.Joeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17066424084187434409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-710373573705518216.post-66928823517183114902014-05-13T09:40:39.575-07:002014-05-13T09:40:39.575-07:00I've been wanting to try this for a while, but...I've been wanting to try this for a while, but I think there's only one TCBY in Austin and it's in the worst area (by the UT campus... I think). The only other review I've read of their vegan frozen yogurt was pretty similar to this. Maybe they suggest it was only so-so which is very unfortunate for any non-vegans who try it and then have negative impressions of vegan ice creams (and therefore all vegan alternatives) in general.

I have to say that icy texture is something I've noticed with other almond-based ice cream products as well, like Almond Dream, so it could be something TCBY couldn't really avoid. Hopefully the coconut-based one will remedy this for those who don't like it (although I personally don't like coconut anything). I don't mind the icy texture in other almond-based ice creams though, so TCBY's frozen yogurt may be something I don't hate. They used to be everywhere. Anyway, it's good to know it's available if I happen to get to the Walmart about 40 miles from me.Vegan In The VIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05987192418948736625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-710373573705518216.post-37551658561719342842014-05-09T15:04:41.286-07:002014-05-09T15:04:41.286-07:00If you are in the area, Cookman Creamery in Asbury...If you are in the area, Cookman Creamery in Asbury Park makes THE BEST vegan coconut-milk based ice creams and soy-milk based soft serve. There are always a selection of flavors and toppings. I ordered a vegan Carvel ice cream cake for my oldest twins' birthdays last month and it was the most amazing cake ever. I have to admit, I think Cookman Creamery might beat out Lula's. I never thought I would write those words. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
