After the not-quite-cleanse-appropriate, but extraordinary meal at Kajitsu, yesterday was a bit strange. For starters, I woke up late and still extremely full. After a while I had some almonds and tea.
Not long after that I acknowledged a bad taste in my mouth, so I had an extremely small, Macoun apple I'd purchased in error (I knew I was buying an apple, it just wasn't the type I had intended to buy). Consider it a tip of the hat to my new iPhone.
For the first time since the cleanse began, I found myself looking for bread- a bagel, a cracker...really anything along those lines. At some point even wasabi peas even crossed my mind. Could this be a result of having consumed noodles the prior day? I settled for leftover shabby sheik hummus and carrots for lunch.
Because I didn't leave the house until the evening, for dinner I simply finished the very last of the lentil walnut pate with celery.
And then I went shopping for the week.
Happy VeganMoFo! I nominated you for a Liebster Award -- details are on my blog (http://roboticwhimsy.com/?p=886).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberly!
ReplyDeleteAbby,
ReplyDeleteYour apple looks almost as good as my Gala. Keep up the good work!
MVG- It wasn't atrocious, but it was the size of a clementine & I was over it halfway through.
ReplyDeleteDo you have to choose certain apples for the cleanse? I've never been a big apple lover — they're good in smoothies though — but I'm partial to Courtlands, and I like Pink Ladies, too.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, technically it's supposed to be a green apple & just a "piece"; fruit is not even a minor part of this cleanse. As you can tell, I'm taking liberties. Mostly because when I don't feel like actually preparing something to eat & I can't reach for a chip or candy, I figure an apple or banana can't be that bad.
